Older Coloradans Act – Legislative Celebration Breakfast – May 13, 2022
This event on May 13, 2022 was a celebration of older adults in Colorado and the signing of the updated Older Coloradans Act (OCAct) in the 2022 Colorado Legislature. This event was an in-person event at the First Baptist Church of Denver and The Honorable Governor Jared Polis dropped in. We discussed the Older Coloradans Act (OCAct) and explored “Next Steps.” We had presentations by Jarett Hughes (Senior Policy Advisor to the Governor on Aging), Yolanda Webb and Kara Harvey (Directors in the Colorado Department of Human Services) on the impact of the OCAct and its implementation and “What it means for older Coloradans.” We also gave awards to legislators and those making a community impact.
